Accessibility statement

We target WCAG 2.2 level AA, and we want to know when we fall short.

How accessible this site is

We design and build to WCAG 2.2 level AA. That means:

  • every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator;
  • headings, labels, landmarks and error messages are announced correctly by screen readers;
  • text contrast meets or exceeds AA, and body text is never low-contrast grey;
  • buttons and links have a target of at least 44 by 44 pixels;
  • text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows to a single column;
  • we respect your operating system's reduced-motion setting;
  • no information is conveyed by colour alone — statuses always carry text;
  • no part of the service requires a smartphone, and forms can be saved and finished later.

Known limitations

We publish honest limitations here as they are found in testing. This statement will be updated after an independent audit, which has not yet taken place.
